Joseph J. Strusowski, Sr.

  Age 86, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2016. Born in Wilmington, DE. Joe was the son of the late Jacob and Mary Strusowski. A graduate of Wilmington High School, Joe worked as operations manager, for 43 years, for D.A.R.T., formerly Delaware Coach Co.

  Joe was predeceased by his wife of 53 years, Betty J. (Marchello); two brothers, John and Jack Strusowski and a sister, Jane Malloy Falkowski. He is survived by three sons and their spouses, Joe and Janet, Jim and Lois, and Rich and Sandy; four grandchildren, Jolynn Maniscalco, Tim, Sam and Max Strusowski; two great grandchildren, Joey and Andrew.

  The family would like to thank the staff at Somerford House and Compassionate Care Hospice for their loving care. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10 am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 901 N. DuPont Street Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. There will be no viewing.

  In lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations, in memory of Joe, be made to St. Anthony of Padua church, where he was a long time parishioner.
