Frederick I. Leonard, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 94.  Fred served his country in the Navy in WWII and Korea.  He retired as a claims adjuster from Ohio Casualty at the age of 62.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Truszkowski) Leonard; 2 sons, Frederick H. Leonard and Douglas T. Leonard, both of Claymont, DE; a daughter, Janice L. (Rick) Myrick of Hockessin, DE; and 2 grandchildren, Curtis W. Myrick and Erica M. (Anthony) Raucci. He is also survived by his first wife, Maxine (Scrimshaw) Leonard of Claymont, DE.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 12:30 pm at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE. Visitation will be at the funeral home starting at 11:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.
