Leona Hamill, age 88 of Newark, DE, passed away of Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Leona was a clerk and retired from the insurance business.

Leona is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Susan) Hamill of Bear, DE, James (Michelle) Hamill of Wilmington, DE, Jeffrey Hamill of Dallas, TX, Henry Hamill of Wilmington, DE and Robert Hamill of Round Rock, TX; her daughter, Margaret (Arthur) Helmick of Wilmington, DE; 9 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and a niece, Dolores Episcopo. Leona was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hamill in 2011. She was also predeceased by her parents, Andrew Rosiak and Stella (Minka) Rosiak Tyborowski ; her sister, Helen Nestoriak and her brothers, Henry Rosiak, Joseph Rosiak, Eugene Rosiak and Zygmunt Tyborowski.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2018 at 11 am at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation will be at the funeral home starting at 10:30 am. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
