Paul Toner, Sr. Obituary

Paul R. Toner, Sr. born in 1939 in Wilmington, DE, at home, to Joseph T. Toner and Margaret E. Naumann died on Monday, April 2, 2018.

He is survived by his wife of 59 yrs, Barbara (Kupis) Toner; daughters, Teresa (Stavros Giannatos) Brynes, Kathleen (Kenneth) Williams and Izabella (Ryjewska) Toner; grandchildren, Stephen, Paul III, Joseph, Alexandra, Denise, Jesse, Christopher and Sean; 10 great grandchildren and his brother, John Toner. He was predeceased by his son, Paul Toner, Jr.; his much loved granddaughter, Stephanie; his sister, Joan Toner Kulesza and his brothers, Joseph Jr. and William Toner.

Paul was a butcher by trade, having worked for the A & P and several other area markets. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, traveling, and most of all, repairing clocks. Above all, the most important thing in his life was his family and his Catholic faith.

A Memorial Mass will be offered on Monday, April 9, 2018 at 11 am in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets,Wilmington, DE. Visitation will begin at 9:30 in church. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to the Helen Graham Center, 401 Ogletown-Stanton Road, Newark, DE 19713.
