Aurelia  V.  Tacik

Age 96, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Friday, January 10, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the owner/operator of Tacik's Market in Browntown. She retired in 1979. She was an avid reader, scrabble player, bowler, bunco player and a 20 year volunteer at the Christiana Hospital. She also loved sharing stories and her Polish traditions with her grandchildren.

Her husband, Joseph Tacik passed away in September of 1985. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis (Bob) Quinn of Ocean View, DE and Janice (John) Rehm of Newark, DE; 5 grandchildren, Erik(Julia), Brenton(Karol), Jaimee (Brett), Jessica (Matthew) and Jaclyn (Aaron); 8 great grandchildren and one on the way and nieces & nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 am on Wednesday morning, January 15, 2014 in Holy Family Church, Newark, DE. Visitation will be held in church starting at 10 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to Compassionate Care Hospice for their care given to Aurelia.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 702B Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE 19805.
