Bernard "Bernie" Barczak

Bernard J. Barczak, age 75, transitioned to a new life on Monday, December 17, 2018.

Bernie was the owner and operator of C.O.D. and he was a forklift mechanic. He loved to fish, hunt and was a lover of antique cars, 3 of which he owned.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joyce (Bolton) Barczak of Wilmington, DE; a son, Bernard Barczak, Jr. of New Castle, DE ; brothers, Phillip and Roger Barczak, both of Wilmington, DE; and several nieces and nephews. Bernie was preceded in death by his step-son, Jeffrey; and by his brothers, Francis, Stanley and Raymond Barczak.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Friends may call at the funeral home starting at 9:30 am. Burial will be private.
