                           "Kay"

  Kay Czajkowski passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at Seasons Hospice. Kay was born on September 28, 1929 in Chester, PA to the late Walter and Catherine (Lech) Okarski.

  Kay enjoyed spending time with her family and especially shopping at the mall with her daughters. Kay had a contagious smile and touched many lives with her ornery sense of humor. She also was very proud of her Polish heritage.

  Kay was predeceased by her husband Leon in 1992. Kay is survived by her four children: Michael (Laurie) of Wilmington, Marie Dougherty (Timothy) of Wilmington, Joseph (Robin) of Newark and Ann Tabinowski (Stephen) of Hockessin. She is also survived by her eight wonderful grandchildren: Lindsay Morrison (David), Mark Czajkowski, Christopher Dougherty (Fiancé Nicole), Brandon Czajkowski, Katherine Tabinowski, Matthew Dougherty (Fiancé Robyn), Shawn Czajkowski, Paul Tabinowski and her great-grandson Will Morrison; her sisters, Carolyn Jasinski and Stephanie (Jack) Yasik; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Kay was also predeceased by her brother, Walter Okarski and sister, Jane Pyrek.

  The family would like to thank the caring staff of Seasons Hospice at Christiana Hospital.

  Visitation will be held at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE from 9:00-10:30 am on Monday, July 28, 2014. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 am at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Rd. Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery, 6001 Kirkwood Highway, Wilmington, DE.

   In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a charitable donation of your choice.
