Catherine M. (Haas) Gadzinski

Catherine (Haas) Gadzinski, 91, of New Castle, DE passed away at home on Friday, April 24, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wilkes Barre, PA on November 6, 1928 to the late James Joseph and Mary Mae (Obitz) Haas.

She will be remembered for many things, most especially a smile that would warm your heart. Spending time with family was her greatest joy. Catherine was a happy person and enjoyed singing songs and telling stories. She was devoutly religious and was a member of St. Hedwig’s Church. She would spend hours talking with anyone about God and her faith. She showed her love for God everyday by her actions and was kind and loving to everyone she met.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Stanley F. Gadzinski in 1996. Left to cherish her memories are her children, Maryanne Jenceleski (Frank), Barbara Nabb (Jack), Karen Malishchak (Steve), Stanley Gadzinski Jr. (Sandy); 10 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Haas (Johanna); and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by her brothers, James, Gordon, Donald, Raymond, David; sister Laura; son-in-law Joseph; and great grandson JR.

Due to the coronavirus, services will be private at All Saints Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at a later date.
