Catherine T. (Lyons) Hitch

Catherine T. (Lyons) Hitch, 63, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024.  Born in Wilmington on October 30, 1960, she was the daughter of the late William C. and Catherine T. (Murphy) Lyons.

Cathy was a graduate of Wilmington High School and was employed with Goldey-Beacom College for several years.   A caring and generous person, Cathy enjoyed going to dinner at Mrs. Robino’s Restaurant, as well as a good cup of coffee.  She loved dogs, especially Collies, and relaxed watching vintage television programs.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Hitch and her son, Nicholas Hitch.

Cathy is survived by her son, Christopher Hitch; her brothers, William C. Lyons, Jr., Ronald Lyons and wife, Lisa; her sister, Rita Calvetti and husband, Dennis; her nephews, Bryan Calvetti and Ronald Lyons, Jr.; her nieces, Heather Lyons and Brittany Rivera.

Family and friends are invited to visit at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Pike Creek on Wednesday, January 24 from 9:30 – 10:30AM.  A Catholic funeral service will begin at 10:30AM, immediately followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
