Cecilia S. (Malinowski) Wisniewski

Age 96, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 with her loving sons, Richard and Stanley, by her side.  Cecilia was born on May 1, 1919 to Andrew and Helen Malinowski.  She was the eldest of four daughters.  She grew up in St. Hedwig Parish area where she met the love of her life, Henry.  They married on October 22, 1938.  Together they had five children, Maryanne, Eugene, Thomas, Richard and Stanley.  Cecilia worked at the Hotel DuPont for many years and she retired to move to Quarryville, PA in 1960.  With the passing of her husband in 1988, She moved back to the Wilmington area.  She enjoyes fishing, crabbing, bingo, going on trips with the Senior Center and reading. She was also a member of the St. Hedwig Ladies Sodality. 

She is preceded in death by her husband Henry, daughter Maryanne and son Eugene.  Cecilia is survived by her three sons, Richard of Mount Joy, PA, Stanley and his wife Robina of Vallejo, CA, Thomas of Bear, DE and daughter in law Frannie of Fenwick Island, DE; seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Viewing will be held Friday, October 30, 2015 from 10 - 11 AM followed by Mass.  Both will held in St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 408 S. Harrison Street. Wilmington, DE 19805. Interment will be in Cathedral Cemetery following mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE 19805.
