Edward  Rutkowski, Jr.

age 58 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 in the Christiana Hospital.

Ed worked for 23 years for DuPont’s as a communication specialist and more recently as a security officer at Delaware Park.  Ed coached Little League Baseball, was a member of the Defiance Club, the New Castle Rod & Gun Club and the Polish Library.  He also officiated softball and football throughout the State of Delaware for over 25 years.

He is survived by his sons; Edward (Lori) Rutkowski of Hockessin, DE, Matthew (Annessa) Rutkowski of GA, Brian (Elizabeth) Rutkowski of E. Providence, RI and Michael Rutkowski of Wilmington, DE, 7 grandchildren, brothers; Stephen  and Paul Rutkowski, both of Wilmington, DE, sisters; Marianne D’Alessio of Wilmington, DE and Jeanne DiAmico of Lewes, DE and his ex-wife, Diane.

A memorial Mass will be offered in St. Hedwig Church, Linden & S. Harrison Sts., Wilmington, DE, on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 10:30am.  The family will receive guests on Wednesday morning in church starting at 9 am. Burial will  be private.
