Eileen Mary (Crescenzo) Majkowski

Eileen Mary Majkowski passed peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at the age of 98.  Prior to her passing, she was cared for by her loved ones.

Eileen was born in Wilmington, Delaware on May 5, 1925.  She held several different bookkeeping positions in the local area over her career and retired at the age of sixty-four stating, “I had enough!”

Eileen is remembered for her charming demeanor and larger-than-life sense of humor.  She could make anyone smile with her frank style and sharp wit.  She loved the outdoors and enjoyed tending to her gardens, reading the news, and spending time with her family.  Eileen was a generous, caring soul who took great care of her family.  For many years, she and her family would often travel down to her house in Broadkill Beach, Delaware, where they would enjoy each other’s company and share memories that will not be forgotten.

Eileen is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her sister, Evelyn; her brother, Edward.

She is survived by her several nieces, nephews, and their children.

A viewing will be held to commemorate the life of Eileen at Church of the Holy Child, 2500 Naamans Road, Wilmington on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 from 10:30 – 11:15AM.   A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by entombment in Cathedral Cemetery, 2400 Lancaster Avenue, Wilmington.
