Elizabeth (Betty) Jonkiert

Age 62 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Casimir and Theresa Jonkiert.

Betty was a management analyst for 39 years with the Court of Common Pleas in Wilmington, DE. She enjoyed her job and was once chosen as Court Employee of the Year in 2005. Even more then her job, she loved her family. She enjoyed going to the beach and collecting sea shells.

Betty is survived by her brothers, Christopher (Andrea) Jonkiert of Wilmington, DE and Stephen (Michelle) Jonkiert of Newark, DE; a sister, Margaret (Glenn) Hansen of CA; aunts and uncles and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday afternoon, October 12, 2015, at 1pm at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will follow in the Crypt of St. John Neumann, Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning starting at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 1701 N. Beauregard, Street, Alexandria, VA 22311.
