GENEVIEVE CONSTANCE POKOYSKI
 
     Genevieve (Jean) Pokoyski, age 84, of Wilmington DE, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2012 in the loving presence of her daughters.  She was the daughter of Anna and Wojciech Bak.
 
     Jean leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters Christine Kelly (Michael), Carolyn Cottrell (Paul) and Lorrie Burkhard (Rob).  She was the beloved grandmother of David Kelly (Heather), Marnie Cooper, Jonathan Cottrell, Elizabeth Cottrell and Jesse Kelly.  She was predeceased by her youngest grandson, Brett Kelly, in 2004.  Jean was the proud great-grandmother of Emma Cooper and Violet and Miles Kelly.
 
     In addition to her parents and grandson, Jean was preceded in death by sisters Blanch Przywara and Irene Brennan and brother, Edmund Bak.
 
     The family would like to thank the nurses and staff on 4 North at Wilmington Hospital for their compassionate care during Jean's short illness.
 
     Mom - Your amazing strength raising three girls alone, your unwavering love and support and your quiet joy in seeing the results of your life's work "well done" is your legacy to us.  You were our anchor and always will be.
 
     A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Helena R.C. Church, 602 Philadelphia Pike, at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Cemetery.
 
     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brett T. Kelly Memorial Scholarship Fund, Salesianum School, 1801 N. Broom St., Wilmington DE 19802 or Ministry of Caring, 7 W. 18th St., Wilmington DE 19899.
