Gertrude "Trudy" A. (Makowski) Grabowski

Gertrude “Trudy” A. Grabowski, age 98, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 25, 2020 with her loving family by her side.

Born in Marion Heights, PA, Trudy was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Watsloff) Makowski. She graduated from Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, as well as West Chester University with a Master’s Degree in Education. In 1969, Trudy married the love of her life, Edward Grabowski, and cherished 31 years of marriage with him. Before retiring, she was a school teacher in Delaware for 26 years.

Trudy was predeceased by her husband, Edward Grabowski; her parents; and her brothers, Jerome, Leonard, Raymond and Clement Makowski. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Albany; her brother, Vincent Makowski (Genevieve); as well as many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends may visit beginning at 10 AM on Monday, January 4 at St. Cornelius Church, 160 Ridge Rd., Chadds Ford, PA 19317, where a Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery.

Funeral services will be live streamed and available to view on www.saintcornelius.org. Funeral services will be conducted under current COVID guidelines, including face masks and social distancing.
