Hedwig (Hattie) D. Lewandowski

Age 89, formerly of Wilmington, Delaware, daughter of the late Constantine and Anna Kaminski, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 in Regal Heights Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, Frank Lewandowski passed away in 1989.  Hattie retired from working at the YMCA in 1988.  She worked in the Housekeeping Department.  She was a member of St. Hedwig Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.

She is survived by her sons; Frank (Theresa) Lewandowski of Wilmington, DE, James (Sharon) Lewandowski of Newark, DE, and Robert (Karen) Lewandowski of Wilmington, DE, her daughters; Christine Osaba of New Castle, DE, Ann (Stephen) Mikulcik and Cynthia Turner both of Newark, DE, and Elaine Lewandowski of Wilmington, DE, 18 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.  She was pre deceased by two sons; Stephen and Leonard Lewandowski, by her sisters; Stella Kaminski, Mary Kaminski and Helen Kojro and by her brothers; John Kaminski and Ignatious Kaminski.

A Mass of Hristian Burial will be offered in Sy. Hedwig Church, Linden and So. Harrison Streets, on Wednesday, December  5, 2012 at 11:00 am.  Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery.  Visitation for Hattie will be held at the John F. Yasik Funeral Home, 607 So. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE on Wednesday morning from 9-10:30 am.
