Helen  B.  Sklodowski

Age 92, of Wilmington, Delaware,  passed away on Sunday, September 22, 2013 in the Christiana Hospital.                                                     

Helen was a chef’s assistant in the Dietary Department of the former Wilmington General Hospital. She retired in 1983. Her husband, Thomas passed away in 1990. She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas Sklodowski and 6 brothers & sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen (Gene) Matuszewski of Newark, DE; 2 grandsons, Craig and Sean (Angela); a brother, Thomas Zajaczkowski of Brack Ex, DE; a daughter-in-law, Sophie Sklodowski of NJ; a sister-in-law, Ellen Zion of Hockessin, DE and numerous nieces & nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the John F. Yasik Funeral Home, 607 S. Harrison Street,  Wilmington, DE at 12 noon.  Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE. Visitation for Helen will be held on Thursday morning starting at 11 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of your choice.
