Obituary

Henry Stymerski, 83, of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2023.  Born in Wilmington on July 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Stanley and Mary (Czajkowski) Stymerski.

Henry was a graduate of Wilmington High School and proudly served our country in the United States Coast Guard.  He worked as a butcher for a local grocery market for several years.  Henry owned, trained and raced pigeons for many years and was very well known in the pigeon racing community, often being sought out for his advice and expertise. 

Henry is survived by his brother, Robert Stymerski and wife, Theresa; and his longtime companion, Barbara Stevens.

Friends are invited to the visitation at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 301 N. Bancroft Parkway, Wilmington on Tuesday, January 10 from 9:30 – 10:15AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM, immediately followed by interment in Cathedral Cemetery.
