Irene Klosiewicz

Age 97, born on September 30, 1916 to William and Josephine Makowski, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014.

She was one of six children. Irene was a bomber repair mechanic during the duration of WWII. She married the late Stephen C. Klosiewicz in 1950 and had four children. She was an expert seamstress during her working years and after retiring was an avid traveler. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church and the Holy Rosary Society.

Irene is survived by her sons, Stephen Cottrell, Daniel and John Klosiewicz; a daughter, Roberta Klosiewicz and 8 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 10:30 am in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE. Visitation for Irene will be on Friday morning starting at 9 am at the John F. Yasik Funeral Home, 607 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery
