Irene T. Poczynek

Age 93, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015.

Irene was a factory worker for many years and worked at the American Can Company. She was a member of St. Hedwig Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.

Her husband, John J. Poczynek passed away in 1999. She is survived by her son, John S. (Carol) Poczynek of Bethel, DE; a daughter, Valerie (Cesare) Pozzi of Wilmington, DE; 4 grandchildren, Christie, John, Christopher and Dante; 9 great grandchildren, Steven, Jared, Karli, Anna, Brandon, Dante, Michela, Aidan and Nathanial.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, June 29, 2015, at 10:30 am in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE. Visitation for Irene will be held in church starting at 9:30 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to: Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ochletree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
