John F. Przybylek Jr., 87, of Wilmington, Delaware peacefully passed away in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. Born in Wilmington on September 29, 1938, he was the son of the late John F., Sr. and Winifred (Morris) Przybylek.
Jack was a graduate of Wilmington High School and proudly served our country as a member of the United States Army, having achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He began his working career at the Star Color Press and later the Wilmington News Journal before working as a gardener at the Lammont Copeland Estate. Jack ended his career as a machinist with Amtrak, having retired after 25 years of service.
In his younger years, Jack was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. In more recent years, he enjoyed gardening.
Jack is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ewa (Kosowicz) Przybylek; his daughter, Anna D’Angelo and husband, Chris; his son, Matthew Przybylek; his grandchildren, Evalyn and Sullivan D’Angelo; his sister-in-law, Diane (Francis) Przybylek of Mt. Airy, MD; along with numerous nieces and nepehws.
He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Dora (Boleslaw) Babiarz; his brothers, Joseph (Theresa), Francis and Michael.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. Joseph on the Brandywine Church, 10 Old Church Road, Greenville on Monday, June 22 from 10:00 – 10:45AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00AM, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
