Josephine K. (Twardus) Durynski

Josephine K. Durynski, age 95 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare Center, Brackenville Center, Hockessin, DE. Josephine worked in the family business of Stanley J. Twardus & Sons Inc. in various roles for many years.

Some of her happiest times were spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed putting puzzles together, working in her puzzle books and attending Mass.

She is survived by her sons; Francis (Andrea) Durynski of Landenburg, PA and Edward Durynski of Wilmington, DE; a daughter, Jody (Gary) Baer of Middletown, DE; 4 grandchildren, Allison (Steve), George (Nickie), Edward Jr., and Eric Durynski (Karie). She also has 5 great grandchildren, Payton, Maddie, Christian, Holli and Hannah.

Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:30 am in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation for Josephine will be held, prior to Mass, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE from 9:30-10:45 am.

Josephine loved fresh cut flowers. Memorial contributions can also be sent in her name to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison St., Wilmington, DE.
