Jozef M. Bucko

  Jozef, age 68, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015. He was born in Czechoslovakia. He served in the Czechoslovakian military. He worked as a mechanic at a sports complex and was a travel guide for a Scuba diving co. and was a lifeguard. In the US he worked at Delaware Park and at Walmarts’ warehouse, before retiring. He enjoyed art and history, collecting antiques and traveling. He was a loving father. He was suffering from cancer, so God wanted him in Heaven so he would not be in pain anymore. He was very much loved and will be greatly missed.

  Jozef is survived by his son, Jozef K. Bucko; a daughter Michaela Jara, two grandchildren, Stepanka and Samuel; a brother, John and sisters, Luba, Anna and Melany. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael and his sister, Mary.

  Friends may call on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2015 from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Doherty funeral Home, 1900 Delaware Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806. Burial of ashes will take place in his home country, at a later date.
