Michael S. Sobkow

age 86, of Wilmington, DE passed away at home on Thursday, December 13, 2012.

Michael is survived by his wife of 40 year , Joanne J. (Stybel) Sobkow, 4 daughters; Cristine Kaczmarczyk and husband, Tony, Wanda McCracken and husband, Bob, Helen Sobkow, Jenny Kogut and husband, Steve, a son; Robert Sobkow and wife, Kim of Wilmington, DE, 9 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Michael came to the US in 1952. He was a skilled contractor and worked in Hartford, CT and then for Corridori Construction Co. and for Thermal Side, Inc. both in Wilmington, DE. He retired in 1993.

Visitation will be held at the John F. Yasik Funeral Home, 607 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE on Sunday evening, December 16, 2012 from 6-8 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered in St. Hedwig Church, Linden & S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 10 am.  Burial will follow in Cathedral Cemetery.
