Oleksa Paranczak

Oleksa Paranczak, age 97 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018, surrounded by his family.

He was a life-long active member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church. He enjoyed playing chess, gardening, taking care of his grandchildren and occasional trips to Delaware Park and Atlantic City.

Oleksa was preceded in death by his wife, Olena (Bajkowski) Paranczak in 2006. He is survived by his sons, Bohdan (Cynthia) Paranczak and Gene (Stacey) Paranczak; 5 grandchildren, Christopher (Kerry), Cynthia Lynn, Jessica, Krista and Mathew and 4 great grandchildren, Kaylee, Gabriel, Izaak and Amelia.

Divine Liturgy will be offered on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 10 am, in St. Nicholas Ukrainian church, Miller Road and Lea Boulevard. Friends may call in church beginning at 9 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Church, 801 Lea Boulevard, Wilmington, DE 19802.
