Rose M. (Gorecki) Uniatowski, 95, of Newark, Delaware peacefully passed away on July 23, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Ethel (Machulski) Gorecki.
A loving and devoted homemaker, Rose was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Joseph M. Uniatowski, who passed away on April 7, 2015.
She will be dearly missed by her sons, Joe, Rick (Dan), Ken (Linda) and Mark (Barbara); her granddaughters, Julie (Berto) and Becky; her great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Caden, Cruz, and Gabe. She is also survived by additional grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her sisters, Theresa Loburk and Dolores Naumann.
Our mom has left ALL of us with many pleasant memories. She was a great cook including her polish recipes. Everyone always looked forward to her homemade desserts. She loved to sew and crochet. She was tough to beat at her bingo and card games. She was always available to provide a helping hand. She had a wonderful sense of humor. She always had the ability to bring that sense of humor on when we least expected it. By their example, she and our dad raised their 4 sons to be kind, caring, respectful individuals. They felt so blessed and received so much joy in being a part of Julie and Becky’s lives. In addition, mom and dad, many years ago, formed a relationship with the Rogers family. Their entire family has become a part of our family.
Her family and friends would also like to thank all the health care providers at Complete Care of Brackenville and Delaware Hospice for her care. She was also blessed by her friendships formed there with Lynne and Debbie.
Family and friends are invited to visit at St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington on Wednesday, July 31 from 10:30 – 11:15AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30AM, immediately followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery.
