Thomas L. Anderson, MD

Age 84 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on August 5, 2015 in Season Hospice Care Center, Newark, DE. Tom was the son of the late Amos and Ella Anderson.

Tom was a Navy medic during the Korean War. Tom received his medical degree from Georgetown University. He was employed by various hospitals in Los Angeles, Boston and Iowa prior to joining the Food and Drug Administration in Washington, DC. Later he was employed by the Greater Wilmington Convention and Visitor Center.

The family would like to thank Christiana Hospital, Season Hospice and Churchman Village for their compassionate care to Tom.

Tom was preceded in death by his wife, Jean (Lazarczyk) Anderson in 2011. He is survived by his sister, Patricia Joyce (Francis) and sister-in-law, S. Patricia Noonan and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2015 at 10:30 am in St. Hedwig Church, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE. Calling will be held in church starting at 9:30am. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
