Thomas F. Kowalski

Age 76 of Wilmington, Delaware passed away on Sunday, March 2, 2014.

Thomas was a millwright and a member of Local 1545. He retired in 1998. He was a 50 year member of the Polish Library and an avid fisherman and crabber.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy(Hobbs) Kowalski; 2 sons, Thomas (Nancy) Kowalski of Wilmington, DE and James (Rebecca) Kowalski of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands; a daughter, Susan (John) Schoch of Wilmington, DE; 5 grandchildren, Summer, Samantha, Thomas, Cassie and Andrew; a sister, Edna Powalski of Wilmington, DE, and a step-brother, Peter Duricek of Newark, DE. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Swierczewski and his brother, Joseph Kowalski.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Heartland Hospice House for their loving care given to Thomas during his stay.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 1:00 pm on Thursday, March 6, 2014 in St. Matthew Church, 901 E. Newport Pike, Wilmington, DE.  Visitation for Thomas will be held on Thursday morning in church starting at 11:30 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington, DE.
