Walter J. McCary

  Age 87 of Wilmington, DE passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 in the Heartland Hospice House.

  Walter worked for the State of Delaware and Johnson & Johnson. He was a devoted and caring father and a decorated WWII Veteran. He loved to fish and travel.

   Walter is survived by his son, Walter McCary, Jr. and wife, Suda of Niceville, FL and daughter, Maureen L. Porter of Wilmington, DE. He was predeceased by his wife, Janice (Dalecki) McCary in 2010.

   Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at 11 am, at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation for Walter will begin at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow services in Edgewood Cemetery, Glen Mills, PA.

  In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ochletree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
