Wentzel Stepnowski

Age 94, of Wilmington, DE passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2015.

Wentzel was an electrician with General Motors. He was a WWII veteran who served in the Coast Guard. He was a former member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and more recently a member of St. Hedwig Church. He also was a member of Ampol (Americans of Polish Decent) and the Captain Mlotkowski Brigade.

His wife, Anna (Nidzgorski) Stepnowski passed away in 2011. He is survived by a brother, Edmund (Joann) Stepnowski of Daytona Beach, FL and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, March 13, 2015 at 10:30 am in St. HedwigChurch, Linden and S. Harrison Streets, Wilmington, DE. Burial will follow in the Cathedral Cemetery. Visitation for Wentzel will be held in Church on Friday morning starting at 9:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to St. Hedwig Church, 408 S. Harrison Street, Wilmington, DE 19805 or to Heartland Hospice House, 5661 Ocheltree Lane, Wilmington, DE 19808.
