It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn L. Rutkowski of Middletown, DE announces her passing on Saturday, November 4th from a brief battle with an illness at the age of 67. She spent her last days at home surrounded by the comfort of her loving family.

Carolyn was a Vice President of a bank in Wilmington where she worked for many years, later transitioning into a role as a Human Resource manager before retirement. In retirement, she enjoyed spending extra time with her family which she valued the most. She touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all.

Carolyn will be lovingly remembered by her husband Bill Lee, her children Stephanie Hoffman (Justin) and John Winnington (Colleen) and her four grandchildren, Giovanni, Gianna, Nurai and Sylvia. She will also be forever remembered by her brother and sister-in-law Al and Renie Rutkowski, her sister and brother-in-law Terry and Harvey Starr, her nieces, nephews and numerous other family and friends. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at 12 noon in St. John the Beloved Church, 907 Milltown Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation for Carolyn will be held from 10:00-11:30 am at Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, an organization that was dear to her heart.
